Prayer to the Patron Saint of Syntax

O Almighty Syntax, Guardian of Subject and Predicate, Bless my sentences with clarity, And my clauses with harmony.

In the name of the Oxford comma, And the spirit of Webster's definitions, May my words never dangle, And my participles never split.

Amen.

Invocation to the Holy Thesaurus

O Holy Thesaurus,

Repository of synonyms and antonyms,

Grant me the wisdom to choose the right word,

And the foresight to avoid redundancy.

With Grammerly as my guide,

And Strunk and White at my side,

May my prose be ever eloquent,

And my adjectives never trite.

Hallelujah.

The Apostles' Creed of Grammar

I believe in the power of Grammar,

The sanctity of punctuation,

The divinity of the dictionary,

And the eternal wisdom of style guides.

I confess to occasional typos,

But through revision and spell-check,

I shall achieve linguistic salvation.

Forever and ever,

In the name of Syntax, Semantics, and Style.

Amen.

The Writer's Benediction

May the blessings of the Grammar Gods be upon you,

May your sentences be well-structured,

And your prose ever engaging.

With the Merriam-Webster as your shepherd,

And the Chicago Manual as your staff,

May you walk the path of grammatical righteousness,

Now and forevermore.

Amen.

The Daily Devotion to Grammarly

Our Grammarly, who art online,

Hallowed be thy suggestions;

Thy corrections come, thy feedback be done,

On my drafts as it is on the web.

Give us this day our daily edits,

And forgive us our typos,

As we forgive those who typo against us.

And lead us not into ambiguity,

But deliver us from poor syntax.

Amen.
